Prof. Sergei Petrenko, a distinguished Doctor of Technical Sciences and Professor at Sirius University, Russia, is a leading expert in information security and system design. A graduate with honors in Mathematics and Engineering from Leningrad State University (1991), he has designed and developed several critical information infrastructures, including three national Situational-Crisis Centers (RCCs), multiple MSSP and MDR security service operators, and various trusted communication operators (MVNOs). His contributions also extend to building SOPCA and SPOCA systems for cyberattack detection and prevention, as well as establishing CERT and CSIRT centers for monitoring and responding to information security incidents, including industrial IoT/IIoT CERTs. As the Head of the State Scientific School, Prof. Petrenko has authored and co-authored 14 monographs and over 350 research papers published by renowned publishers such as Springer Nature Switzerland AG, River Publishers, and others. His works cover topics like Big Data technologies, information protection, cloud security, and information risk management. Recognized for his pioneering role in advancing national digital security projects, he has been honored with the “Big ZUBR” and “Golden ZUBR” awards. His research interests also extend into High Energy Physics and Renewable Energy, reflecting his multidisciplinary expertise in emerging scientific and technological domains.
