S.M. Hosseinalipour is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Energy, Water, and Environment Research Lab at the Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran, Iran. He earned his PhD from McGill University in 1996. His research focuses on gas and oil industries, new HVAC systems, and energy conversion systems. He has published 121 journal papers, authored two books, and holds seven patents. He has advised numerous graduate and undergraduate projects and conducted 65 industrial projects. Dr. Hosseinalipour has received multiple honors, including the title of Distinguished Professor by the Iran Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2021.

His work includes studies on hypersonic flow dynamics, nanofluids, and their applications in solar energy systems and heat transfer enhancements. Hosseinalipour has explored the properties and behaviors of nanofluids, such as graphene nanoplatelets, in solar collectors and heat pipes, as well as the effects of nanoparticle deposition on boiling performance.
