Gevorg Avagovich Grigorian was born in 1962 in Nigavan, Aragatsotn, Armenia. He graduated in 1985 from the Department of Mechanics-Mathematics at Rostov State University, specializing in mathematics. From 1985 to 1992, he worked as an engineer-programmer at the Kirovakan Science Institute of Production “Ardatomatika.” In 1992, he joined the Mathematical Physics Center of Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory as a research assistant and earned his PhD in mathematical physics in 1998. Since 2005, he has been a senior researcher at the Institute of Mathematics, National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, with 27 research papers to his name. Differential Equations

In 1992, I joined the Mathematical Physics Center of Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory as a research assistant. In 1998, I defended my thesis in mathematical physics and earned the title of Candidate of Mathematical Physics Science (PhD).

His research explores the de novo design of proteins, including transmembrane helix bundles and virus-like assemblies, and he investigates protein-protein interaction specificity. Grigoryan’s work also encompasses the development of models and frameworks for protein design, leveraging sequence-structure relationships to predict interaction partners and design new protein functionalities. His notable contributions include the design of variant-resistant epitopes and the computational assembly of protein structures on nanomaterials, demonstrating broad applications in structural biology and bioengineering.
