Research Focus

Professor Yiku Xu specializes in the field of materials science, focusing on alloy directional solidification, single crystal growth, and surface treatment technologies. His research includes developing high-entropy alloys and nickel-based coatings with enhanced mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. His recent work involves the formation of lamellar eutectic structures in high-entropy alloys, fabrication of high-entropy carbide ceramics, and pulse electrodeposition techniques. He has contributed significantly to understanding the microstructure evolution and wear mechanisms of high-entropy alloy coatings and the regulation of graphene oxide concentrations in ceramic coatings for improved performance.
